FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference field hockey game to Wilson College this afternoon in their home opener, falling 3-1 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
After a scoreless first half, Wilson's Kate Seymour scored seven minutes into the third quarter to lead 1-0. Paige Ney added a goal five minutes later for the Phoenix, on a pass from Seymour to lead 2-0.
Rylee Staples scored off of a Penalty Kick, to cut the lead 2-1 late in the third quarter. Jill Ahlgren scored from the spot, scoring Wilson's third goal of the game.
