FERRUM, Virginia -- Juliana Park had a game-high 18 points to lead Randolph-Macon College to a 51-49 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball win over Ferrum College this afternoon at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Randolph-Macon led 5-2 early on, but a
Trina Lewis jumper followed by an
Asya Williams jumper to put Ferrum back on top, 6-5 at 5:42 of the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets used a 6-3 run to close out the first on top 11-9.
Cait Velez's three-pointer at 2:53 of the second quarter extended RMC's lead to 23-16, but
Allyson Cassell sank a pair of free throws and
Kayla Cabiness drilled a three-pointer from the left side to cut the lead to 23-21 at the break.
Jane Elkins was fouled and converted a pair of free throws to give Randolph-Macon its largest lead of the game, 31-21, at 7:05 of the third quarter. Ferrum used an 11-2 run to trim the lead to a point, 33-32, headed into the fourth quarter.
Ferrum's
Taryn Blankenship made three baskets in a row early in the fourth quarter to spot the Panthers a 39-37 lead at the 6:41 mark. The Yellow Jackets kept pace, taking a 42-39 lead on Juliana Park's layup less than a minute later. Lewis hit two free throws for Ferrum to tie the game at 44-44 with 2:04 left in regulation. RMC scored the next five points to take a 49-44 lead, then held on in the waning seconds for the league win.
