HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College fell 66-54 this afternoon at Eastern Mennonite University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball action at Yoder Arena.

EMU jumped out to a 14-5 lead after six minutes of play.
Kayla Cabiness' fastbreak layup and free throw at 1:35 of the first quarter cut the lead to 14-13, but the Royals went on to finish the first on top 19-15.
Eastern Mennonite used a 15-7 second quarter to take a 34-22 lead at the break. A Cabiness three-pointer,
Allyson Cassell jumper and pair of free throws from
Trina Lewis were all the Panthers could muster in the the second quarter.
The Royals opened their largest lead, 23 points, on a layup by Jayla Grant at 7:17 of the fourth quarter to make it a 63-40 game. Ferrum battled back, using a 14-3 run down the stretch, including a jumper and three free throws by
Taryn Blankenship, to make it a 12-point game at the end.
