Allyson Cassell had a double-double for Ferrum College in a 71-62 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball loss to Guilford College tonight at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Guilford used a solid first quarter, outscoring Ferrum 23-11 with eight different players scoring for the Quakers. Ferrum rebounded with a 16-14 edge in the second quarter, including a pair of buckets by
Taryn Blankenship and four free throws from
Kayla Cabiness.
The Quakers opened their largest lead of the game at 8:33 of the third quarter on a layup by Anna Giannopolou to make it a 42-29 game. The Panthers closed the gap to nine points at the end of the third quarter, and at one point, got as close as four points on a Cassell layup at the 3:44 mark.
In the fourth quarter, Guilford maintained a steady lead, but Ferrum closed to within five points on a Cassell three-pointer at 1:51 to trim the score to 65-60. Cassell also had a pair of jumpers for Ferrum for the Panthers in the fourth.
