WINCHESTER, Virginia -- Maddie Kimble had 17 points to lead Shenandoah University to a 54-32 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball win over Ferrum College this afternoon at James R. Wilkins Jr. Athletics & Events Center.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 6, but was moved up in order to avoid travel during a wintry mix set to arrive Saturday morning in Northern Virginia.

THE BASICS
The first quarter ended with Shenandoah on top 17-14, with
Allyson Cassell scoring seven of the Panthers' first 10 points. The Hornets used an 11-4 second quarter to take a 28-18 lead at the break, with
Trina Lewis accounting for a layup and one free throw for the Panthers.
A 9-3 Shenandoah run in the third extended the lead to 37-21 at the 5:56 mark, then the Hornets closed the fourth quarter with a 15-5 run for the final score. Ferrum's fourth-quarter points included three-pointers by
Erin Harden and
DeZhenae Stewart and a layup by Lewis.
