FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a five-set Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) volleyball match at home to Shenandoah University, falling 3-2 today at Swartz Gym. Set scores were 26-21, 19-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-9.

THE BASICS
The Hornets opened with a first set victory, but Ferrum rebounded to take the second with a pair of kills from
Bailey Terry and one from
Harleigh Propst to close out the set. Ferrum grabbed a 2-1 lead after taking the third set, which ended on a pair of Shenandoah attack errors.
The Hornets came back to eke out a 25-23 win in set four to tie the match at two sets each, and set up a winner-take-all fifth set.
Kenzee Chaffin's kill at the switch gave Ferrum an 8-6 lead, but SU rallied with a 7-1 run to go out in front 13-9, then held on for the win.
