FERRUM, Virginia -- Naomi Anderson's goal in the 47th minute of play broke a scoreless tie and proved to be the eventual game-winner as Guilford College beat Ferrum College 2-0 this afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play at Penn-Roediger Field.

THE BASICS
Both teams had early opportunities to score, but could not capitalize leading the game to be scoreless at halftime.
Anderson took a pass from Ashlyn Kahre at the 46:53 mark and deposited it in the back left-hand corner of the Ferrum net for the first score of the game.
Mya Rivera added an insurance goal for the Quakers at the 54:29 mark and was assisted by Kahre. Goalkeeper
Ashli Wuss played all 90 minutes in net for Ferrum with eight saves.
Guilford out shot Ferrum 23-12 over the course of the game, but Ferrum closed with a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
