Box Score FREDERICK, Maryland -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference women's basketball game tonight on the road, falling 58-50 at Hood College.

THE BASICS
Kleiauna Riddick's pair of free throws and Erin Harden's layup closed out the first quarter with Ferrum on top 9-6. The two teams played fairly even in the second quarter as well, with Hood holding a 23-18 lead at the break.

The Blazers took control in the third quarter, opening a 14-point lead on Kourtney Johnson's layup at the 1:34 mark to make it a 38-24. Ferrum would get no closer than eight points on Riddick's layup with three seconds remaining in regulation for the final score.
