Charles Tart III had 16 points to lead Ferrum College to a 68-59 non-conference men's basketball road win over Methodist University tonight at the March F. Riddle Center.

THE BASICS
Methodist jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, courtesy of three-pointers by Chance Minott and Brian Bullock. Ferrum closed to within a point at 13-12 on an
Ahmil Flowers layup at 11:52, then Tart drilled a three-pointer from the right side less than a minute later to put Ferrum on top 15-13 at the 11:04 mark. The two teams played evenly for the remainder of the first half and Ferrum took a 30-28 lead at the break.
The Panthers' lead grew to five points on
Bryant Wall's jumper in the paint a minute into the second half to make it a 34-29 game.
Alfredo Abel-Rivera's layup made it 44-37 then
Zavier Measmer connected on a shot from downtown to make it 47-37 at the 11:49 mark.
Ferrum never trailed from there and eventually opened its biggest lead, 14 points, on
Tae Allen's jumper in the paint at 7:17 to make it a 56-42 game. The Panthers held on from there for the win to improve to 9-1 overall.
