ASHLAND, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's basketball team fell 58-44 on the road to Randolph-Macon College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action this afternoon at Crenshaw Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
Randolph-Macon controlled the game early on, rolling up a 17-2 lead after one quarter. The Panthers got within eight points by
Trina Lewis's fastbreak layup's and Allyson Cassel's free throws early in the second quarter.
Marisa Ziegler made a three-pointer with 0:02 left in the second quarter expanded Randolph-Macon's lead to 16 points, making it a 34-18 game at the break.
Ferrum was outscored by Randolph-Macon 15-8 in the third quarter.
Taryn Blankenship knocked down a pair of free throws along with a layup, and
Kayla Cabiness also sank a pair of free throws. The Panthers trailed 49-27 after three full quarters.
Ferrum used an 8-3 run to open the fourth quarter and cut the lead down to 52-36 at 5:21.The Yellow Jackets then held on to their lead in the final minutes of the game with the score being 58-44
