Eagles Hand Ferrum ODAC Baseball Losses

BRIDGEWATER, Virginia -- Bridgewater College handed Ferrum College a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball losses this afternoon, beating the Panthers 9-1 in the opener and 23-9 in the nightcap at BC Baseball Field.

GAME ONE
Bridgewater scored a run in the third inning and two in the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. Ferrum got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the seventh inning on Davis Yeaman's RBI double to left field, allowing Jaden Johnson to cross the plate for the Panthers' only run. The Eagles added four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and two in the eighth to wrap up game one.

GAME TWO
The Panthers scored a run in the top of the first inning, but the Eagles exploded for 13 in the bottom half of the frame to put the game out of reach early. Ferrum picked up a run in the third and three in the fifth inning, but trailed 15-5 after five fill frames. Kristian Barcroft had a two-run homer to right field in the top of the sixth inning, then Ferrum picked up two more on Bryce Thacker's RBI double in the ninth inning.
