Bri Bitz scored three goals in the first 52 minutes of play to pave the way for Ferrum College's women's soccer team in a 5-2 non-conference road win over Mary Baldwin University tonight at SMA Worth Field.

THE BASICS
Bitz scored the game's first gol at 27:33 off a pass from
Breanna Herlihy, then ripped the back of the net unassisted less than six minutes later. Bitz then would score again in the 52nd minute of play, again with Herlihy getting the assist.
Ashlynn Mitcham slotted a pair of shots past Mary Baldwin goalkeeper, Maddy Vinson, at 66:30 and 67:14 to give Ferrum a commanding 5-0 lead.
Jessie Howison and
Jadyn Patton each earned an assists on Mitcham's goals.
Sara Gruntowicz broke up the shutout for the Fighting Squirrels with an unassisted goal in the 69th minute of play, then Harmony Crawford added an unassisted goal at the 88:55 mark for the final count.
