FERRUM, Virginia – The Ferrum College men's basketball team fell short against the #16 ranked Randoph Macon Yellow Jackets today. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) league match up ended with a score of 73-65.

THE BASICS
Sterling Charles scored 13 points in the first half with a triplet of three-point shots going in, two free throws and four 2 pointers. Meanwhile, defensively,
Bryant Wall had three blocks to lead the Panthers during the half. Ferrum went on an eight-point scoring run over the course of thirteen minutes, allowing the Panthers to jump out to 36-35 lead at the half.
The second half opened with back-and-forth points with Malcolm Hodges from Randolph-Macon scoring first and then the Panthers
Alfredo Abel-Rivera answered with his own basket. Randolph-Macon took the lead with 12:30 left to play and held it until
the final of 73-65.
Sterling Charles led the Panthers with 18 points, and Abel-Rivera chipped in 14 points. The Panthers blocked five shots compared to Randolph-Macon's one. The Panthers also shot 49% with 39% at three-point range and unfortunately 59% at the charity stripe.
