LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College lost to Randolph College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball action tonight on the road, falling 96-89 at Don Giles Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
The game was tight early on, with Randolph opening a 10-6 lead just over five minutes into the game. Ferrum used an 8-2 run capped by
Alfredo Abel-Rivera making a layup, drawing a foul and converting the ensuing free throw to give the Panthers a 14-12 lead at the 11:40 mark.
Randolph would go on to take a 45-35 lead at the break, including a layup by Elijah Cox and a three-pointer by Amari Gorham in the final 75 seconds of first half play.
Zavier Measmer hit a trey to open the second half and cut the deficit to 45-38. Later in the seocond half, Measmer's three-pointer with 4:37 left to play put Ferrum in front 78-77, but a 7-0 run gave the WildCats an 84-78 lead with 3:39 left.
Ferrum got as close as one point on
Gerren Jones' three-pointer that made it an 84-83 game with 2:22 left in regulation, but Randolph held from there for the win.
