THE BASICS
Guilford jumped out to a 5-0 lead to open the game, but Ferrum settled in and used an 11-5 run to take an 11-10 lead on Sterling Charles' three-pointer at 11:59. The two teams played tight over the next seven and a half minutes before the Quakers used a 9-2 run to close out first-half scoring on top 29-21 at the break.

Guilford stretched the lead to 35-29 on Gabe Proctor's three-pointer at 17:37, but Ferrum responded with a Charles three-pointer and an Alfredo Abel-Rivera second chance jumper in the paint to get the lead down to 35-31 at the 16:09 mark. A 24-17 Guilford run made the score 59-48, the Quakers' largest lead of the game, with 3:37 left.
