BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Ferrum College dropped a Conference Carolinas women's soccer game at Lees-McRae College tonight on the road, falling 2-1 at Tate Field.

Ferrum struck first with an early goal by
Breanna Herlihy at the 3:19 mark off a pass from
Alondra Vera. Lees-McRae's Mackenzie Sanford evened the score in the 21st minute or play off a pass from Ezra Carpenter.Â
The 1-1 score held through halftime and into the 61st minute of play when Sanford scored her second goal, this time an unassisted shot into the upper left corner of the net to account for the eventual game-winner.Â
