CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University rolled up 504 yards of total offense in beating Ferrum College in non-conference football action, winning 51-10 this afternoon at McCool Stadium.

Eli Foutz pass and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown 1:08 into the game. Cole Kirk scored a rushing touchdown from a yard out, then Nick Clark cashed in from six yards out at 9:16 and 0:37, respectively, of the first quarter to make it a 21-0 game after one.Â
Clark hauled in an 11-yard touchdown pass from Kirk at 10:23 of the second quarter to up the margin to 28-0.
Na'Ledge Wright broke up the shutout with a one-yard plunge into the end zone at 2:07 of the second quarter and the lead was down to 28-7. Garrett Ames then capped a six-play, 70-yard drive just before halftime, rumbling 41 yards down the right side for a score to make it a 34-7 game.
Jon Davis added three points for the Panthers when he split the uprights from 45 yards out to trim the lead to 34-10 with 15 seconds remaining in the first half.
Dean Roberts opened the third quarter with a 21-yard field goal for Delta State to make it 37-10, then the Statesmen added a five-yard rushing touchdown by Qualon Farrar and a 13-yard scoring strike from Reed Miller to Lawrence Armstrong, both in the fourth quarter to close scoring.
