GAME NOTES

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College will host Shorter University Saturday, October 4 in a Conference Carolinas football game.

The game is designated as Fan Appreciation Day and Ferrum's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will hold its annual Canned Food Drive.

Tickets for the game are $15 per person, but for this game only, fans are asked to donate two canned food items in lieu of the $15 admission fee. Ferrum's SAAC will deliver the canned goods to a local food assistance program next week. 

Ferrum and Shorter are playing each other for the first time in football. The Hawks bring a 1-4 mark into the game, while Ferrum is 1-3, and both teams are 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play. 

Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at W.B. Adams Stadium.
