ROME, Georgia -- Ferrum College men's soccer team erupted for three second-half goals to secure a 4-1 victory over Shorter University. Senior
Jonathan Nicacio led the Panthers with two goals off of five shots.

THE BASICS
Ferrum struck first in the seventh minute when sophomore
Joshua Harrigan found the back of the net, giving Ferrum the early 1-0 lead. The Hawks responded three minutes later with a goal by Carter Morningstar. The score remained 1-1 heading into halftime.
The Panthers came out firing after the break. Senior
Payton Rausch scored off a cross by
Oliver McIntosh in the 48th minute to give Ferrum the 2-1 lead. Nicacio then scored twice in a row to put the game out of reach. The first of his two goals came in the 63rd minute off an assist by
Max LaFramboise and Harrigan. One minute later, Nicacio found the back of the net for his brace.
Between the posts, junior
Michael Arzillo anchored the defense with four saves.
