FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team beat South Carolina Central Christian College at home, winning 94-58 tonight at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Ferrum raced out to a 5-0 lead on an
Amaris Hunt three-pointer and an
Abdulh Diaby layup.
Alan Kane closed the first half with 12 points and the Panthers led 39-21 at the break.
Gerren Jones had a three-pointer, a layup and a pair of free throws to open the second half to extend Ferrum's lead to 48-23 and the rout was on. Kane's jumper at 11:45 of the half extended the lead to 62-34, then
MJ Winstead's three-pointer at 9:49, followed by a Hunt three made it a 68-38 game with just under nine minutes left in regulation.
Avery Woodard dropped a three-pointer at 6:35 and Hunt dropped back-to-back threes just under the six-minute mark to extend the lead to 82-49.
Sam Sims drilled a three at 3:15, then
Seydou Tamboura had a monster dunk to make it an 87-51 game.
