Ferrum, Va. - The Ferrum College women's basketball team used a dominant second and third quarter to secure an 83–61 Conference Carolinas victory over Erskine on Saturday afternoon at Swartz Gymnasium. For the second time this season, the Panthers had five players score in double digits to lead the way.

THE BASICS
After a tightly contested first quarter that saw Ferrum take a narrow 25–24 lead, the Panthers took control of the game by holding Erskine to just eight points in the second quarter. Ferrum outscored the Flying Fleet 21–8 in the period and carried a 46–32 advantage into halftime.
Ferrum continued to build separation coming out of the break, using efficient offense and strong interior play to outscore Erskine 22–12 in the third quarter. The Panthers shot over 50 percent from the field for the game and finished with a decisive 52–20 edge in points in the paint.
Kleiauna Riddick led Ferrum, scoring 14 points on 6-11 shooting. Sophomore
Maslyn Mosbacher had a solid all around game, contributing 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Senior
Taryn Blankenship added 12 points. Freshmen
Sofia Ponce and Alex Kubiak came off the bench to contribute 11 and 10 points, respectively. Ponce and Blankenship led Ferrum on the boards, each with eight.
Ferrum's depth proved to be a key factor, as the Panthers received 34 points from the bench and forced 21 Erskine turnovers, converting them into 29 points.
