ROANOKE, Virginia -- Ferrum College lost in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball action tonight at Hollins University, falling 59-46 at the W. Channing Howe Playing Courts.

THE BASICS
Hollins used a 6-0 run early in the game to grab a 9-3 lead, and closed out the first quarter on top 14-10. Hollins then outscored Ferrum by the same margin, 14-10, in the second quarter for a 28-20 lead at the break.
Ferrum held Hollins to just seven points in the third quarter, but trailed 35-33 headed into the fourth.
Allyson Cassell was fouled and knocked down a pair of free throws to tie the game at 37-37 with just under eight minuted left to play.
Taryn Blankenship's jumper two minutes later made it a 39-39 game, but Hollins went on a 20-7 run from there to close out the game. The win for Hollins avenged a 67-56 loss to the Panthers January 22 in Ferrum.
