THE BASICS
Jones made one of two free throws two and a half minutes into the game to spot Ferrum a 5-3 lead. Roanoke went on an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to grab a, 11-5 lead. The two teams played fairly even through the rest of the first half, with Ferrum retaking a 27-26 lead on
Tae Allen's layup with 6:25 remaining in the first half. Roanoke then used a 14-9 run to take a 42-36 at the break.
Allen drained a three-pointer less than a minute into the second half to cut the lead to 42-39, and that was as close as the Panthers would get. Roanoke pulled away from there, and Jackson Bell's dunk with 54 seconds left in the game gave the Maroons their largest lead of the game at 87-72. The Maroons closed the game with five players in double figure scoring.
