Final Results

SALEM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's and women's track teams wrapped up with day two action at the Finn-Pincus Invitational, held at Roanoke College's Cregger Center. The  meet was highlighted by an event victory, multiple final appearances and 13 total personal records.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Damani Veney-Epps won the 1999 meters with a time of 2:38.81
• Tristan Peterson finished 7th in the 60m finals with a PR of 7.25, advancing through prelims and semis.
• Men's distance medley relay of Veney-Epps, Seth Truett, Carlos Menendez and Josiah Gallegos placed 2nd with a time of 10:53.61
• Seth Truett ran a PR of 4:40.17 in the mile.
• Jaiden Childress cleared 1.86m in the high jump.
• Deontae Lawson competed in four separate events, highlighted by 11.4 the semis in the 60m.
• Elijah Joyner recorded a PR in the shot put (11.44 m).

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Camille Vaughn placed 4th in the 60m finals with a PR of 8.00.
• Zyreonia Patterson advanced out of the prelims in the 60m.
• Nadiyah Abdussalaam qualified for the 60m hurdles final.
• Zenallah Hatcher-Simmons placed 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 11.64m.
• Sarah Hudgins placed 2nd in the 600m with a time of 1:49.60.
• Multiple women made their collegiate debuts, gaining early-season experience across sprints, jumps, throws and distance events.

Coach Andre Kidd's teams will be back in action Friday and Saturday, January 23-24, at the VMI Invitational, held at the CPTF-Corps Physical Training Facility on the campus of Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
