MURFREESBORO, N.C. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team lost to Chowan University in Conference Carolinas action Friday, January 23, on the road, falling 76-66 at Hawks Athletic Center. The loss stopped the Panthers' seven-game win streak.

THE BASICS
Chowan led by as many as nine points in the first half on Joseph Lezeau's layup with 53 seconds remaining in the half, making it a 29-20 game. Ferrum battled back with five points to close the first half.

The Hawks opened a nine-point lead in the second half on a pair of Lezeau free throws at 5:08 to make it a 66-57 game. Ferrum would get as close as four points on Jones' pair of freebies with 1:13 left in regulate to make it a 70-66 game. Chowan would score the final six points of the game to hang on for the Conference Carolinas win at home.
