Ferrum Wins Two in Flag Football

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College made its debut into the world of women's flag football with a pair of games today at home. The Panthers opened with a 39-19 win over Lindsey Wilson College, and then blasted Hollins University 53-0 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

GAME ONE
Against Lindsey Wilson, Payson Shreeve was 22-37 for 401 yards and six touchdowns. Jaden Hiers was often on the receiving end of Shreeve's passes, hauling in six for 196 yards and two scores.

Gracious Wise and Samantha Pitzer also had a pair of receiving TDs each for the Panthers. Skyler Khiev, Jordan Snell and Hiers each had an interception for the Panthers. 

GAME TWO
The Hollins game was all Ferrum from the start, The Panthers led 13-0 after the first quarter and 25-0 at halftime. Ferrum rolled up 266 yards in total offense to minus eight yards for Hollins. Shreeve was 13-14 passing for 92 yards and six scores.

Hiers and Kviev each had two touchdown catches, while Danilynn Bonilla, Macy Taylor and Zenallah Hatcher-Simmons each had one TD reception. Bonilla also had an interception, which she returned for a score. 

UP NEXT
