BELMONT, N.C. – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team fell on the road to Belmont Abbey College, 26-2, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field in Conference Carolinas action.

THE BASICS
Belmont Abbey took control early, scoring eight goals in the opening quarter to build a commanding lead. Ferrum broke through at the 10:31 mark of the first when Lana Barkovic scored unassisted, but the Crusaders held an 8–1 advantage after one.
The Crusaders continued their momentum in the second quarter, adding seven goals to take a 15–1 lead into halftime.
Belmont Abbey extended its lead in the third period with five more goals. Ferrum recorded its second goal of the contest when Barkovic found the net off an assist from Micaiyah Dickerson at the 7:30 mark.
In the fourth quarter, Belmont Abbey added six more goals to close out the 26–2 victory.
