FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. -- Ferrum College's women's tennis team dropped a Conference Carolinas road match at Emmanuel University, falling 6-1 this afternoon at Palmetto Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Emmanuel secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and picked up a forfeit in the No. 3 spot. In singles play, Ferrum picked up its lone point at No. 1, where
Bianca Solorzano earned a hard-fought three-set victory over Tawana Senah, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.
The Lions claimed the remaining completed matches, including straight-set wins at No. 2 and No. 4. Emmanuel also added points via opponent retirement at No. 3 and defaults at No. 5, and No. 6 match.

Coach Jose Rincon's team will look to bounce back Wednesday, April 1, at Chowan University. The Conference Carolinas doubleheader alongside the Ferrum men is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
