Women Fall 7-0 at Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. -- Ferrum College's women's tennis team dropped a Conference Carolinas match at Young Harris College this afternoon on the road, falling 7-0 at Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

THE BASICS
Young Harris looked strong from the start in taking the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches handily and accepting a forfeit in the No. 3 spot to grab the doubles point.

The Mountain Lions flexed in singles, taking all six matches to secure the league shutout. Ferrum's Stephanie Porras battled at No. 2 singles, falling in three sets to Maud Scholten 7-6 (3), 4-6, 10-5.

UP NEXT
Coach Jose Rincon's team will be back in action Saturday, March 28, at Emmanuel University. The Conference Carolinas match will be played as a doubleheader alongside the Panther men. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
