Jones, Farias, Corrigan Honored by Conference Carolinas

FERRUM, Va. -- The 2025-26 Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball All-Conference Team has been announced, and Ferrum College had three individuals honored.

Senior guard Gerren Jones was named to the All-Conference first team, while sophomore guard Rodrigo Farias earned a spot on the third team. Additionally, Ferrum Head Coach Patrick Corrigan was named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Coach of the Year.

Jones is leading the Panthers in scoring this season, averaging 22.6 points per game over 24 games played. He also averages 4.6 rebounds per game and is shooting 46% from the floor, 43% from behind the three-point line, and an impressive 85% from the free-throw line. Jones has scored 20 or more points in 18 games this season and 30 or more three times, including a 34-point performance Jan. 7 against Barton College.

Farias averages 16.3 points per game and is shooting 39% from the floor, 37% from behind the arc, and 83% from the free-throw line. He has scored 20 or more points seven times, including a 30-point performance Jan. 19 against Francis Marion University.

Corrigan led the Panthers to a 16-10 overall record, including a 14-6 league mark, and a third-place finish in the Conference Carolinas regular-season standings. Ferrum was picked to finish last in the 16-team men's basketball preseason poll. The Panthers are competing in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Tournament as the No. 3 seed, earning a bye into the quarterfinals.

Corrigan's team will play in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament on Friday, March 6. The Panthers are the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Emmanuel University on Friday at Wofford University's Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
