FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Ferrum College men's tennis team fell to Francis Marion University, 6-1, in a Conference Carolinas road match this afternoon at Kassab Courts.

Francis Marion claimed the doubles point, taking victories at No. 2 and No. 3 before Ferrum picked up a win at No. 1 as
Emanuel Ferreira and
Tobi Teller earned a 6-4 victory.
In singles play, the Patriots secured the match with wins in five of the six flights. Ferrum's lone point came at No. 2, where
Sebastian Ondas posted a strong straight-set win over Boris van Ruiten, 7-5, 6-0.
Francis Marion earned straight-set victories at No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6, and also took a tightly contested match at No. 3 in a second-set tiebreak to complete the 6-1 result.
