FLORENCE, S.C. -- Ferrum College lost to Francis Marion University in Conference Carolinas baseball action, falling 9–3 tonight at Sparrow Stadium.

THE BASICS
Francis Marion jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding three more in the second, including a three-run home run by Ethan McAnally to take a 6–0 lead.
Ferrum got on the board in the fourth inning when
JJ Tyree drove in a run with a single, and cut into the deficit again in the fifth on a solo home run by
Niko Papathanasiou.
The Patriots extended the lead with single runs in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings, including RBI contributions from McAnally and Riley Orr.
Ferrum added a run in the ninth when
Tyler Mason delivered an RBI double, scoring Tyree, but the rally ended there as Francis Marion closed out the 9–3 win.
