FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team fell to Converse University, 27-0, Saturday afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium in Conference Carolinas action.

THE BASICS
Converse controlled the game from the opening draw, scoring 11 first-quarter goals to take an early commanding lead. Zoey Jacobs opened the scoring and added multiple assists during the stretch. The Valkyries continued their offensive pressure in the second quarter, adding seven more goals to carry an 18-0 lead into halftime. Becky Reinhard led the charge in the period with four goals, including multiple player-advantage scores.
In the third quarter, Converse added six more goals, highlighted by tallies from Obenchain, Karter Lauer, and Ally Benken. Ferrum continued to battle defensively but was unable to break through offensively. Kaniah Copeland led Ferrum with three ground balls.
