FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance Monday afternoon, sweeping Roanoke College, 7-0, in a non-conference matchup at Burrows Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Ferrum set the tone early by securing the doubles point with wins in all three flights. The duo of
Emanuel Ferreira and
Tobi Teller earned a solid 6-2 victory at No. 1, while
Omar Martinez and
Emilio Munguia added a 6-3 win at No. 3. The closest match came at No. 2, where
Sebastian Ondas and
Brian Karenzi edged their opponents in a thrilling 7-6 match, winning the tiebreak 12-10.
In singles play, Ferrum continued its strong showing, winning all six matches to complete the shutout.
Emilio Munguia was particularly impressive at No. 4, not dropping a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Emanuel Ferreira battled to a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 1, while
Sebastian Ondas claimed a tight first-set tiebreak en route to a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory at No. 2.
Tobi Teller (No. 3),
Brian Karenzi (No. 5), and
Omar Martinez (No. 6) each added straight-set wins to cap the sweep.
