Englman Promoted at Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. -- Director of Athletics Cleive Adams has announced the promotion of Levi Englman '24 to Assistant Wrestling Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Ferrum College.

Englman recently completed his third season as Ferrum's Assistant Wrestling Coach, and has gradually taken on more responsibility with the Panther wrestling recruiting efforts under first-year Head Coach Blake Roulo.

"I'm proud to see Levi taking on the added role of Recruiting Coordinator for our wrestling program," said Roulo. "He's been a staple of this program for many years, five years on the mat and three as a coach. Due to Levi's leadership and strong work ethic, this promotion is justified and I'm excited to see where he takes us as a program in his new role."

Englman joined the Ferrum Athletics staff as Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach in December 2023. He wrestled five years for the Panthers from 2019-23, and is third on the all-time wins list with 102 career victories and 20 pins. A two-time NCAA qualifier for Ferrum, Englman earned All-America as a true freshman in 2019, then made All-America again in 2020.

At one point during his career, Englman was ranked #1 in the nation among NCAA Division III wrestlers. He is one of three Ferrum wrestlers to hold a top national ranking, joining Logan Meister '17 and Rayshawn Dixon '25.

Englman posted a seventh-place finish at the 2019 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, hosted by Ferrum, closing the season with a 33-8 record and nine pins. Englman won three collegiate tournaments, including two Southeast Wrestling Conference titles and the 2019 NCAA Southeast Regional title. He was a two-time Virginia High School League state champion for Colonial Forge High School under legendary Coach Bill Swink.

"I'm excited to take this next step in my coaching career and to continue to take Ferrum wrestling to the next level," said Englman. "This promotion means a lot as it's going to evolve me into a better coach."
