FERRUM, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Association has announced its 2025-26 College Track & Field All-State Teams, and Ferrum College sophomore Jahmal Jones earned first-team honors in sprints for both the indoor and outdoor teams.

A native of Martinsville, Virginia, Jones competed primarily in the 60-meter, 100-meter, 200-meter and relay events during the 2025-26 season. He also made the VaSID All-State first team in sprints in 2025. 

Jones captured the 60-meter title at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships in February before earning runner-up finishes in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the conference outdoor championships in May.

Last spring, Jones qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in both the 100-meter and 200-meter events, earning All-America honors in each race.

Jones is the third student-athlete in Ferrum track & field history to qualify for the NCAA Championships and only the second to earn All-America recognition.
