2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Acacemic Award Release
FERRUM, Va. -- PLATFORM Golf, in association with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), has announced its 2025-26 Team Academic Awards, and Ferrum College has been recognized among NCAA Division II institutions.
Ferrum was one of 39 schools from across the country to be named a Division II All-Academic Team by PLATFORM Golf. To qualify, schools must have an aggregate grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the school year. PLATFORM Golf also recognizes schools with President's Special Recognition for having a 3.5 GPA or higher, as well as Academic National Champions.

Adam Crawford '07, who rejoined the Ferrum coaching staff last season but also served as Head Men's Golf Coach from 2010-18. Ferrum's team in 2025-26 included 14 players:

Ethan Hahn,
Wes Hill,
Brandon Jones,

Logan Williams.
Overall, a new GCAA record 333 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, and 157 schools received President's Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2025-26.
In August 2026, Ferrum begins the final year of the NCAA Division II Expedited Provisional Membership Process. Established by the NCAA in 2024, the two-year process provides institutions with an opportunity to complete their transition to Division II in a shorter timeframe, provided they meet all membership requirements. Ferrum is scheduled to achieve full NCAA Division II membership status in August 2027.
