DURHAM, N.C. -- Ferrum College men's soccer team scored twice in the second half, including Oliver McIntosh's game-winning goal in the 88th minute, to edge Shaw University, 3-2, Wednesday evening at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Andy Cruz found the back of the net, assisted by Fili Asfha. Shaw answered just over two minutes later, with Juan Guerra scoring in the 11th minute to even the match at 1-1.

The Panthers regained the lead early in the second half. Chase LaSasso scored in the 50th minute, with Luca Oggionni providing the assist. Shaw once again battled back, as Guerra scored his second goal of the night in the 70th minute, assisted by Jacky Fulu, to tie the match at 2-2.

With the game winding down, McIntosh delivered the decisive goal in the 88th minute to give Ferrum a 3-2 advantage. The Panthers held on through the final whistle to secure the road victory.

Ferrum finished with a 14-5 advantage in shots, including an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. The Panthers also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
