FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's soccer team scored three first-half goals Wednesday evening on its way to a 3-1 non-conference win over Virginia State University at Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes.
Denton Buchanan put the Panthers on the board in the 13th minute, finding the back of the net off an assist from
Ben Hooper.
Chase LaSasso doubled the Ferrum lead in the 20th minute when he scored off an assist from
Luca Oggionni.
Max LaFramboise added Ferrum's third goal just before halftime at the 44:49 mark.
Virginia State got on the scoreboard late in the second half when Neville Assoti scored in the 90th minute off an assist from Andrew Brooks Jr.
Ferrum finished with a 13-5 advantage in total shots and held a 10-4 edge in shots on goal.
Michael Arzillo made three saves in goal for the Panthers.
