TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- The Ferrum College men's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the match early in the second half, but North Greenville University scored the deciding goal on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute to edge the Panthers, 4-3, Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action at Pepsi Stadium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute when
Andy Cruz scored off an assist from
Ben Hooper. North Greenville answered with two goals before halftime. Kai Goodman converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute to tie the match, and Emilio Galeas scored in the 40th minute off an assist from Tyler Koppe to give the hosts a 2-1 halftime lead.
NGU extended its lead to 3-1 in the 53rd minute when Brennen Lamont scored off an assist from Alec Myers. Ferrum quickly answered with two goals to level the match. Cruz scored his second goal of the afternoon in the 57th minute off an assist from
Sawyer Lester, and Hooper scored just 58 seconds later to make it a 3-3 match.
North Greenville was awarded a penalty kick in the 73rd minute, and Zac Zborovsky converted to put NGU back in front, 4-3.
