WILSON, N.C. -- Ferrum College scored three times in the second half, including Ben Hooper's game-winning goal, to rally past Barton College, 3-1, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas men's soccer match at Bulldogs Athletic Complex.

THE BASICS
The Panthers were down a goal early in the second half, then found the back of the net three times to post the Conference Carolinas comeback road win.
Patience was the word of the day as the game was plagued by delays. Multiple lightning strikes in and around Wilson, North Carolina, forced both teams to wait out several lengthy stoppages.
Barton drew first blood when Sora Watanabe scored in the 52nd minute of play, but the Panthers responded with three unanswered goals. Ferrum's Calvin Sanders scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute, with Jadon Brooks providing the assist.
Just under two minutes later, Hooper put Ferrum ahead for good when he found the back of the net for his first goal of the season, assisted by Joshua Harrigan. Chase LaSasso added an insurance goal in the 87th minute, with Andy Cruz assisting on the play.
Ferrum closed with a 14-10 advantage in shots, including a 10-6 edge in shots on goal. Barton finished with a 4-2 lead in corner kicks.
