Lew Kent

Lew Kent joined the Ferrum athletics staff as Assistant Baseball Coach in January 2015. Kent came to Ferrum from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he served four years as Head Baseball Coach at Hilton Head Preparatory School. Kent served a Physical Education Teacher five years and Athletic Director three years at Hilton Head Prep.

Kent served as Head Baseball Coach at NCAA Division I Radford University from 1995-2007. Kent served two stints as an Assistant Baseball Coach, at Radford from 1992-95 and at North Carolina State University from 1989-91.

Kent played baseball professionally from 1986-88 for the Cleveland Indians. He earned his Bachelor's degree in History from North Carolina State in 1992 and his Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford in 1997.
