Dave Davis returned to Ferrum in May 2022 as Defensive Analyst after retiring from Ferrum in 2010. He spent 27 years on the Panther sideline, including 17 seasons as head coach from 1994-2010. Davis's 2005 team won the USA South Athletic Conference title and represented the league in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Davis was named USA South Football Coach of the Year in 2005.
