Cole Hogan joined the Ferrum men's lacrosse staff in 2021-22 as Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach. Hogan plays a large role in assisting with the offense, working closely with the attackmen. He is responsible for assisting with the offensive system, breaking down self-scouts, analyzing film, and maximizing individual sessions, Hogan enables players to refine their skills and offensive lacrosse IQ. Hogan’s approach to developing the player is an integral part to the Panther offense. He helps with offensive game planning and implementation during practice. Hogan also coordinates the Man-Up team and manages the substitution box on game days.
Hogan is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He oversees the team's sports performance training by developing off-season and in-season workout programs. Hogan assists with all aspects of recruiting, primarily focusing on running prospect days, camps, clinics, and organizing the staff’s summer recruiting calendar.
Hogan comes to Ferrum from Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he has spent two seasons as the Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach at Stafford High School.
A 2019 graduate of Mary Washington University, Hogan received his bachelor’s degree in History. He made 37 starts and appeared in 52 games over his four-year career with the Eagles. Hogan closed out his playing career at Mary Washington with 80 points on 57 goals and 23 assists. A native of Springfield, Virginia, Hogan played at high school lacrosse at Bishop O’Connell High School.
