Michael Baggetta

Michael Baggetta came to Ferrum in the fall of 2017 from Bridgewater College, where he spent the 2016-17 year as Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Prior to Bridgewater, he spent four years from 2013-16 as an assistant coach at Salisbury University. The Sea Gulls made national semifinal appearances in 2013, 2014 and 2016, winning the NCAA Div. III national title in 2016.
 
Baggetta was head coach for the University of South Carolina's club lacrosse team in 2009, then served two season as an assistant coach at Herndon High School from 2010-12, where he also served as strength coach for the Hornet football team. Baggetta he has also been employed as an instructor or speaker at numerous lacrosse camps and events including the United States Lacrosse Convention, Northern Virginia High School Team Camp, Southern Combat Lacrosse Showcase, National 175 Showcase, Elite 100 Showcase, and the University of North Carolina Instructional Camp.
 
He holds several certifications in coaching and strength & conditioning, has worked as a personal trainer for Lifetime Fitness in Virginia, and owned the PROformance Edge Athletic Training Gym in Columbia, South Carolina, where he was the Director of Sports Performance.
 
Baggetta played lacrosse for the University of Massachusetts in 2003-04, then transferred to Hampden-Sydney College and played football and lacrosse in 2005-06. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Salisbury in 2015.
