Michael Callaghan

Michael Callaghan joined the Ferrum men's soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach in July 2017. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Callaghan grew up playing for Glenavon FC and came through their youth system. He played collegiately at Mountain State University and Bluefield College, and was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete and All-Conference selection at both schools. He served as team captain at Bluefield in his final two seasons. Callaghan recently held positions with Roanoke Star Soccer Club, as well as being the head coach for the Roanoke College men’s and women’s club programs. He graduated from Bluefield College with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, and holds coaching licenses from the NSCAA and the USSF. Callaghan resides in Roanoke, Virginia.
