Olivia Earls joined the Ferrum athletics staff as Assistant Volleyball Coach in July 2020. Earls spent  two years with the women’s volleyball program as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Charleston in West Virginia. She assisted the UCWV program with technical, non-technical and administrative duties, as well as practice plans and game-day preparation. Earls was also an integral part of Charleston’s recruiting efforts, working with high school students, junior college and four-year transfers and their families.

Earls was a four-year varsity player from 2014-17 at fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference member institution Roanoke College, and served as team captain her senior year. She served two years as head coach for the 17 Regional & 18 American Vantage Volleyball Team from 2019-20, a year as head coach for 17 open at Roanoke United for the 2017 season and a year as assistant coach for 16 club at Roanoke United for the 2016 season.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from Roanoke in December 2017, Earls went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership in December 2019.
