FERRUM, Va. -- Visiting Meredith College made quick work of Ferrum College, winning 9-0 in USA South Athletic Conference women's tennis action this afternoon at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Complex.

Meredith (14-2, 8-1 USA South) took all three doubles matches for a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.  The Avenging Angels then took all six singles matches in straight sets.  Heather Marshall had the best match for the Panthers, losing 6-2, 6-1 to Ashley Pearsall in the #4 spot.

Ferrum (3-11, 3-6 USA South) will be back in action Tuesday, April 14, hosting a play-in match of the USA South Tournament. Ferrum will be the tournament's #8 seed and will host either Mary Baldwin College or North Carolina Wesleyan College.
