FERRUM, Va. -- Visiting King University dealt Ferrum College a 6-1 Conference Carolinas women's tennis setback Wednesday afternoon at Burrows Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
King swept through doubles play to claim the opening point and never looked back, adding five singles victories to secure the conference win. The Tornado won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles in decisive fashion and picked up a forfeit at No. 3 to take a 1-0 lead.

Stephanie Porras provided the lone highlight for Ferrum with a straight-sets victory at No. 2. King earned wins at the remaining positions, including a forfeit at No. 6, to seal the match.
