FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College is saddened by the loss of Zavier Stringfellow, who died Friday, Dec. 28, in Vienna, Virginia.  A sophomore Recreation Leadership major from Manassas, Stringfellow graduated from Battlefield High School before enrolling at Ferrum.  Stringfellow was a defensive end with Ferrum's football team.  Our condolences go out to the Stringfellow family on the loss of Zavier, who leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

The College's Chaplain, the Rev. Wes Astin, has been in touch with the Stringfellow family and learned of the funeral arrangements.  The funeral will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church in Broad Run, Virginia.  Vistitation will be one hour earlier at 10:00 a.m.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Joynes Funeral Home, 29 North Third Street, Warrenton, Virginia 20188.
